It sounds absolutely wonderful :) I loved a Tale of Two Cities, but it took a while for me to really get into it, much longer than any other book of his. It's a lot more dry than his other works. <br /><br />I have to admit, I tried to desperately to read Ulysses so I could boast about it, but I had to give up pretty quickly. I had a friend who to...I totally get what you mean. I had a friend who took up reading books as if she were on a life-or-death mission. In her words, she 'plodded' through LOTR just because all her friends had read it and praised it to bits. But not every book appeals to every person. She finished the book but now hates it when anyone so much as mentions it.<br /><br />That shouldn't happen, you know. Life is too short. And James Herriott is a wonder. Are you planning on reading the other two books, as well? My personal favourite is All Things Wise and Wonderful. :) Happy reading, Book Florist!
